Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and other organizations on June 15, 2019 for a Kids Fishing Workshop from 10:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. Kids along with their parents will work their way through fun, interactive stations that allow them to learn about fish, ways to fish, places to fish, how to fish and how to minimize any negative impact on the environment while fishing.

This program is free with regular park admission. Make sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing.

Also, thanks to a grant from Fish Florida, a rod and reel and water bottle will go home with the first 300 children to complete their journey through the educational stations so they can continue to have fishing excursions with their families after the event.

On April 27, 2019 the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Treasurer, Ann Perry, presented $1500 received through a grant from Fish Florida to Park Manager, Mebane Cory-Ogden and Assistant Park Manager, Allen Murray. This money will support the upcoming Kids Fishing workshop.

To learn more about the park, please call the Ranger Station at (850) 267-8330 or visit:Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Park programs are made possible by Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. Come out and explore one of the most beautiful state park preserves in South Walton, Florida.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, located on the west side of Scenic 30A in South Walton, offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall. Three rare coastal dune lakes provide excellent freshwater fishing. Although boats are not allowed, fishing from the shoreline yields bass, bream, panfish, and catfish. Lakes, pristine beaches, old-growth long leaf pines, sand pine scrub, and a variety of wetlands offer a bird-watching and hiking paradise. Visitors may bike, walk, or enjoy a quick ride to the beach on our timely tram service to swim, fish, sunbathe, or beachcomb. Gregory E. Moore RV resort features a (non-heated) swimming pool and shuffleboard courts. Furnished bungalows are available for weekly stays. A camp store offers a variety of camping items, as well as snacks and drinks.

Florida State Parks are treasures waiting for your discovery!
