South Walton FL
The Courtyard Saints will take the stage at North Beach Tortilla Co. on Saturday, August 17th from 6:00 - 9:00PM. This local South Walton band is a 30A staple. Emanating from the laid-back Grayton Beach, FL attitude, major influences of the band include folk gone electric Bob Dylan, The Band, The Beatles, and John Prine.

The Courtyard Saints were founded by Mike Whitty of The Thompson Brothers Band and Pale Blue Dot on lead vocals, guitar and bass, and Brad “SHANK” Shankwiler on vocals, percussion and nylon string guitar. Current lineup also includes John Mark Turner of Blues Old Stand and Wildlife Specials fame on bass, guitar and vocals. Their 2012 debut “Sunshine State” is a spirited tribute to the early days of rock and roll recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Andrijah Tokic.

North Beach Tortilla Co. (NBTC) is a taco and tequila bar that sits at the foot of the Clyde B. Wells (Highway 331) Bridge across from The Bay Restaurant in South Walton. Overlooking the Choctawhatchee Bay, the restaurant has a large covered deck for outdoor seating along with a wraparound bar featuring a selection of 100 tequilas, craft cocktails, and draft beer. The menu is a mix of Spanish, Southwestern, and Florida cuisine - with a strong emphasis on fresh, made-from-scratch food using carefully sourced ingredients and authentic cooking methods. For Chef Jim Shirley, his staff, and guests, it’s a hangout where 'Tacos Grow On Trees and Tequila Always Wins.’

NBTC is open daily from 4-10PM. Menu is available at northbeachtortillaco.com. Follow along @northbeachtaco on Facebook and Instagram.
