Any suggestions for a one BR for a mature couple? Will they be able to find a place for only two or three nights?
Budget = under $300/night
Location = anywhere in SoWal.
Haven't booked a flight yet as accommodations cost may dictate dates.
Will need a parking spot for rental car.
You cannot forward from a UPS address. Essentially you have to tell everyone of a new address. You can rent a post office box of the post office for only 3 months if you want and they will forward your mail to anywhere.
Just wondering if anyone knows of a current group for new moms looking for friends, support etc in the area.
I had found a cafemom.com for Destin but it seems dead.
Thanks
Great place to have. Nice atmosphere though it could get crowded with the three tables inside....
Still waiting for a Franchisee to build a chick fil at the 98 and 30a intersection!
Maybe the proposed casino in Baytowne put a wrench in things. There is no way it will be completed by July.
I found an article.

Sorry. I was in Miramar Bch when I first noticed. However, I am still on 4G and live by 331 and 98- not very far from you.
Is your Mobile device 4G compatible? I have the Motorola Photon (4g)
Hi,
I noticed that my 4G was active on my mobile as of this afternoon.
I have Sprint and didn't think that Sprint would bring 4G to this area. Can anyone Sprint subscribers chime in?
Opened this week. Only took them about 3 years from when their sign when up ....

Another Hwy 98 question.
This also known as Emerald Coast Pkwy and Harbor Blvd, Miracle Strip, Navarre Pkwy, etc. I know ECP starts at Sacred Heart Hospital (on east end,) but where does it end and switch to Harbor Blvd, after Airport Rd?
I guess there are several non-contiguous parts of 98 labelled as East and West. So more confusing.
For instance, the The Chick Fil A (and all of the businesses on the north side of 98) in "old Destin" are on 98 East. So is there another Dividing point for 98 which is aka Emerald Coast...
So I know Hwy 98 is also referred as Emerald Coast Pkwy and Harbor Blvd, etc. mostly for vanity purposes.
It seems that Hwy 331 creates the separating point for "98 W" and "98 E".
For example, the Donut Hole in SRB is: 6745 US Highway 98 W while the Regional Utilities location is: 4432...
Donut Hole is closed until Dec 22 for Renovations.
Christianos is open and our favorite place for dining. 98 BBQ and Steamboat (burgers) stays open too. Don't know about Don Pedros but Chopstix next door is not bad, try the wings!
BayouBills closed last winter but is still open this season...
We got married a few years ago on Rosemary Beach (Townhall.)
I didn't like being nickled and dimed by the venue location though. They were Not up front with fees etc. and pissed me off by charging us after the fact. Many venues will only allow certain caterers/have a preferred list so you...
I thought it odd as well have two of the same retailers within 7 miles of each other. Didn't make logical sense as well. I wonder about the JCrew and Brooks Brothers at Grand as they both have outlet stores (even closer) at Silver Sands...
The Market Shops is another retail death trap...
So it is closed when we tried to stop by last week.
Anybody have the scoop why?
To me, it isn't a good location for most businesses. I had known that the Moe's and the Johnny Rockets in the same locale would have problems too which is a shame.
Three months; anymore updates?
I am closing my BoA account as it is too far for me. Plus, the threat of the upcoming $5 fee pushed me out. Closed my SunTrust account too. Screw them with their $3/mo.
I opened a new acct at Army Aviation FCU by Sacred Heart. Up to 6 free ATM...
It is located about 1/8 of a mile on JD Miller Rd. JD Miller is the 1st right past the Tom Thumb on 331. Conversely, it is the Left after Blue Mountain Rd (83). There is a green sign on 98E pointing out the park.
It's a retail location- I'd would guess a Chick-fil-A would do really well there... I noticed that they are building a CFA near the new Walmart in Niceville.
Thanks for the replies. I am going to keep Centurylink as my ISP for now. Our speeds are consistently at 9-10 Mbps wireless (paying for 12 Mbps).
I read that with cable ISPs, traffic tends to be an issue. Or, it could be a marketing tool for DSL providers.
We'd like to switch our...
We have Centurylink as our ISP and Dish for TV. We are generally happy with Centurylink's speed to the house (we get ~ 9 to 10 Mbps) which is very good since we are subscribed to the 12 Mbps package.
Mediacom may wire down our street. We don't like DISH and would like to switch to Mediacom...
County is taking bids to widen certain parts from the two lane to a four lane divided Hwy. I would have guessed the project to go further up north than described....

How small will the new Walmart be/feel?
So the WMT being built on Hwy 98 is going to be about 78,000 sq ft (I guess.) I recently stopped at the newly opened (01/26/2011) WMT in Niceville (which is about 153,000 sq ft). The Niceville Discount store seemed 'small' compared to the Supercenter...
