Pizza by the Sea & Bud and Alley's

These were the two restaurants we enjoyed while visiting last week. (Most nights we ate in thanks to the wonderful Watercolor Publix!) We hit up Pizza by the Sea late Saturday night after arriving and although it was busy, the atmosphere was enough to keep our large party entertained. LOVED...

    If I had $10 million...

If I had $10 million bucks I'd totally buy the Seagrove Villas & Motel! Driving by it every day, I fell in love with the place- I love the retro 50's feel of it. Even my dad was talking about how neat it would be to own it. (Note, neither of us have even $1 million to contribute ) But...

Exactly! My poor kids keep on asking to go back to the beach now. Lol my 4 old thinks we need to find one close to home...unfortunately in Oklahoma that's not gonna happen:lol:

    should we come?

Hi I'm a fellow Oklahoman too and we just returned from Seagrove Beach two days ago! We had a fantastic time. The water was very clear the first few days, then the winds kicked up and caused the June grass to "disperse" everywhere:-) It was like swimming in orange juice with pulp! The tarballs...

    Hi from oklahoma

Hi soonertime, we're from Oklahoma too! Currently in the car headed back from a great week along 30a! We honestly enjoyed most of our days at the beach. The June grass was more of a nussiance than tarballs along the shoreline. We drove down to PCB to St Andrews State Park. It was pristine...

Ponce De Leon Springs worth a visit?

Thanks, I just found Morrison Springs online yesterday and it looks great! I like that it has a beach area for the kids. Maybe if I can get my parents to babysit, hubby and I can go canoeing on Econfina. It sounds/looks fantastic!

Ponce De Leon Springs worth a visit?

Just wondering if Ponce De Leon Springs is worth the trip from Seagrove... I've seen Wakulla Springs recommended on here, but it looks like quite the drive. Also wondering about Florida Caverns State Park... We're traveling with little ones (4,2, and 4 months) so it needs to appeal to them...

    Finally introducing myself!

So I've been lurking for a while now and posting more as our trip gets closer:D We'll be in Seagrove June 18th-26th and honestly, this will be my first time to 30A! Although I've frequented Gulf Shores, Destin and Panama City growing up, we've never stayed in South Walton before. I've researched...

    Favorite Snorkeling Spots

Wondering where some good snorkeling spots are (besides busy crab island in Destin). We plan to rent kayaks and will attempt to snorkel at the second sand bar...but I want something in shallow, calm water as well for the little ones. I know the jetties at St. Andrews are recommended but I have a...

    Golf Course Suggestions

Thanks again for all the suggestions. Isn't Camp Creek private though? At least this is what it appears to be on their website. My husband is a huge fan of golfnow so he'll book their times from there I'm sure.

Activities for family with kids, aside from the beach

Thanks for the tips so far...we will see about heading up to the caverns for the day. I believe I visited there when I was little and swam in the water hole. Also, are there any beach areas in the bays? I know Shell Island has great snorkeling areas in the bay, but what about Choctawatchee...

Activities for family with kids, aside from the beach

Hi everyone, my entire family (parents, brothers, and sister's family) will be visiting the week of June 19th-26th. We will have 7 adults and 4 kids total, ages 15, 4, 2, and 4 months. We're renting a beachfront home in Seagrove. Of course we're worried about the unforseen impact of the spill...

    Golf Course Suggestions

Best golf courses We are visiting in a couple of weeks, the 19th-26th. My husband and dad both play golf and are looking for the best value but still in good condition. They've looked into Kelly Plantation and it looks nice, but a little pricey. We're staying in Seagrove, but they're willing to...
