Is there something going on in February '08? I have searched numerous properties and it seems that everything is rented. We were in SGB this past Feb and it was like a ghost town. Is something up? Just seems funny that all of these places are rented and the "economy is so bad", etc but yet...

Family just returned from annual SGB trip. We went to D&K's Tues nite and it was OUTSTANDING!!! :clap: :clap: :clap: Service was excellent, food was beyond words. We love NOLA and this was like visiting the Big Easy. I had read about D&K here on the message board and kinda forgot about them...

Rosie -- my family and I stayed at Emerald Escape in 1999 and it was very nice. Right behind the Tom Thumb on 30-a in heart of SGB, right across from beach, nice walkover.

My mom said there was an article in the Memphis Commercial Appeal yesterday (Sunday 4/29) re Seaside. Something about them tearing down the open air market and possibly closing and/or relocating Bud & Alley's? Has anyone heard anything about this and if so WHAT THE HELL?!?!:bang:

Family and I were in SGB just last week and drove by future home of "Stinky's." To the untrained eye, it looked like some work was going on in what used to be the shop (Angelikas? sp?) but as far as it opening any time soon I don't see it happening. :idontno:

Thanks to all that replied. I read the threads that SJ sent along. Situation is really sad. Girl in SGM told us they would be moving the WaterColor Crossing (where Publix and fire station are?) but was not sure if/when it would happen. So sad! :(

We watched this house being built when we were down in October. We always stay on Montgomery Street (Yellow House:wub: ) It is spectacular. The virtual tour is great! It looks like a house that HGTV would give away! :clap_1:
