Can anyone suggest a good, local Geo Technical Engineering firm that handles residential bore samples and subsurface investigations? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Helen McCall park has kiddie playgrounds and fountains to run through.
The closest public pool would be in Frank Brown Park in PCB just past 79. They hold swim and dive meets there. Really nice facilities.
Also I think there may be some fountains for kids in the new park they are building by...
Any outside condition ok as long as it works and holds temperature with relative consistency below 40 degrees. I will take it off your hands ASAP. Thanks! :)
Super kid and teen friendly is the Hub at Prominence. Saturdays and Sundays there are sports on the 36ft jumbotron. Live music on the stage at night. The lawn is fake grass and padded for kids to run and fall like maniacs. But also two full liquor bars, cigar shop (owned by Luke Bryan if you...
Here is a tip. The daytime venues can be serious sometimes. Like getting shushed in a library kind of serious. Just be aware that the musicians are awesome, but some of the attendees are not and you will have fun. The night venues, especially the larger ones at bars and restaurants loosen up...
I spoke with Watt Sound at my house but ultimately went with AVX. Chris is a great guy and I am happy with my home theater results.

So the issue is not with Neil, his company (which they do great work), the owner's right to commerce, or the Walton County Definition of VMU (well, partially). It more has to do with the track record of this particular business owner and the post-build site operation of the property he has set...
"Village Mixed Use is a category that anticipates large “village” sized parcels of land with a mixture of uses developed to create a community or village effect within the area in which it is located."
I don't see the local community of residents wearing Spring Break Seagrove Beach t-shirts and...
Actually yes, or the closest thing to it. That's why the Florida Keys is called the Conch Republic. Although mostly a joke, it did unite the locals against overreaching government. Maybe SoWal does the same? It's an interesting story that is still celebrated every year Conch Republic -...
I swore they did because I saw the chefs there behind the counter preparing things while there at lunch. I just checked and they don't start until 5pm :(
I guess what surprised me was that when I saw "Seafood Market" I thought about Sexton's or Shrimper's with lots of fish products and just a few seasonings and side items. The opposite is true here. They have the staples of Mahi, Grouper, Snapper, Shrimp. But they have some wines, craft beer...
I just have to say, that is a cool little store. On our way to the beach we picked up a pound of Royal Reds and had them steamed with the garlic herb butter in 3 minutes. Having fresh, steamed shrimp on the beach was awesome! If you haven't gone by, I suggest checking them out.
Load up the Yelp app on your phone. Most all local restaurants have reviews and you can look at a map of all locations relative to where you are standing. Take some of the bad reviews with a gain of salt because "the waiter brought me 5 ice cubes in my water when I asked for 2" is not a valid...
Here is a link to the video. It's pretty cool because the agenda items are indexed so all you need to do is click on the part you want, like the 30a parking parcels discussion and it jumps there.

In South Florida recycling and green living is a huge thing. Even in our downtown condo, just organic waste went in the trash chutes but we had bins on every floor of our parking garage to place everything from cardboard to light bulbs. I felt weird when I moved here and had to start throwing...
 I don't get it for Miramar Beach... The majority of spring breakers don't have cash (back in the day I have made booze versus food decisions on SB ) so rentals must be taking any money they can get in this economy for occupancy or they are not checking for the old "sleeps 4 but we...
Yeah that's the RFID digital pick pocketing.
They say that even though criminals get the card, expiration, and printed CVV number, it is supposed to be too difficult to clone because a) there is a transaction related cyptogram that is not stored on the card and b) there is a dynamic CVV...
Thanks for the alert! Too bad it's happening here in paradise :(
It's rampant in South Florida and it seems to have moved up here because too many people have caught on down there. Chances are that the stolen cards are coming from "skimmers" when you use your card at an ATM or gas pump. I do...
I grew up in the gulf coast and having a two month spring break is pretty unique. It can be both interesting and annoying at the same time. Either way, it's definitely not boring so you'ill be having fun no matter what :)
My two brackets:
1) Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, and Kansas in FF, with Kentucky def Ohio in the finals
2) Kentucky, Missouri, Florida State, and UNC in FF, with UNC def Kentucky in the finals
It's well worth the visit! The restaurant and entertainment options are very limited, but that adds to the uniqueness of the island as a true beach getaway in our backyard.
