Me too! I love planning the trip. I build little spreadsheets of properties, costs, location, pros, cons, rental company.... I send my hubbie links and pictures. He has tired on of this though, and now says "just pick what you want".

I will definitely keep this in mind. I did not know the "back roads" of Inlet Beach connected to Rosemary. I only know I do not want to bike with my kids on 98.

If a property is decribed as being in Inlet Beach - is it off of 30A or 98? Or could it be either? Thanks.

I am more fearful of snakes than gators or bears. And I bet snakes are more plentiful on and around 30A than gators, bears and bobcats combined. All of nature's creatures have a place - I just want to stay out of their way!

I am more fearful of snakes than bears. I recognize that this is not logical, but I've had some unfortunate snakey experiences. My bear sightings have all ended with the bears (i) being smaller than expected and (ii) running the other direction.

My daughter and I had burgers there yesterday. We needed a quick lunch before hitting the road to drive home. It fit the bill nicely and the burgers were good. Lots of fries. Staff was very pleasant. We sat outside and loved eating under the palms. Also enjoyed the Artists at Gulf Place...

My daughter and I were in SoWal yesterday for about 6 hours. The water was stunning and the weather was fabulous. No crowds - easy parking and walking. A wonderful (although short) visit. Can't wait to download my pics.

This post continues to bring tears to my eyes after even the 3rd reading. Very accurate and well-stated. Thank you for clearly articulating what so many people feel.

When we were at Eastern Shores in April, the demolished Leeward building was being rebuilt between ES and the remaining Leeward building.

Anybody out there have experience running biodiesel blends in regular cars/trucks? I have a 2006 Jetta TDI with 60,000 miles on it. VW says biodiesel upto B5 is acceptable. I'd like further input if anyone has any. I'm not considering 100% WVO - just a bio blend.

If you decide to head east toward St. Joe, be sure to visit the St. Joseph State Park out on the peninsula of Cape San Blas (off another 30A). It's worth the trek. The gulf side is nice, but the bay side is the real hidden gem in my opinion. I can PM you pics if you'd like. Wonderful...
