    Basmati's New Year's Eve Dinner

My question is why don't they add this all to their regular and very tired menu? Love their food, but the menu is very old.

New McDonald's At Publix on 98 In South Walton

LMAO. Sure thing. Roll CFA, love it. Their strips rule. Polynesian please.

    Marcos Pizza Anyone?

The thin crust is pretty good IMO. Disagree with the Papa John's comparison, it's better than that. Edit: We always order garlic butter on the crust.

Looking for a restaurant serving Flounder

Captain Anderson's has an incredible stuffed flounder. Get it with toasted almonds added. It's always available.

We're never informed of them when we eat there.

Borago celebrates 23 years in Grayton Beach!

I love the place, just wish they'd vary the menu some. They change it very infrequently.

Great Southern has been in past years.

723 Whiskey Bravo will not reopen

LOL. "Local owners" can do what they want with their own trees.

    Anyone tried The Citizen yet?

First new place of this order since Pescado to open in South Walton, as I recall. How is it?

30A Burger is OPEN at 30Avenue

STINKY'S has wised up, it appears, and no longer serves the coated garbage fries. Kudos to them, and I'll put them back on my "acceptable" list of places to eat.

30A Burger is OPEN at 30Avenue

Even worse IMO are the seafood restaurants on 30A who serve garbage frozen fries. See Whiskey Bravo, Grayton Seafood, Stinky's, Local Catch, Great Southern Cafe to name some that come to mind immediately. I simply won't patronize them, period. Deal breaker.

FGL Boathouse Restaurant coming to SoWal Waterfront?

    That's completely illogical. FSU grad?

30A Burger is OPEN at 30Avenue

Just read the first online review. Scathing, they say it's worse than a Burger King.

FGL Boathouse Restaurant coming to SoWal Waterfront?

It's not like they'll be preparing the food themselves, you know.
  19. T

30A Burger is OPEN at 30Avenue

They look frozen but that's O.K. if not the wretched "coated" variety. They look like plain old frozen shoestrings, which are acceptable. Burgers and onion rings look good IMO.

Pescado Hosts Wine Dinner Featuring Ken Wright Cellars

Said it before, this is an exceptional new eatery. Not a fan of having to wait for an employee to accompany me in the elevator to get there, but it's worth it overall.

Grayton Beer Company Brewpub Now Open

I didn't even know Craft Bar was gone. That space is a black hole.

Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar Opens March 1 in Rosemary Beach

Went back last Saturday, everything was again top notch. Had the spinalis steak with a roasted beet salad. Great food, great bar scene.

Red Fish Taco now open at Trebeache / Redfish Village

I WILL try it out soon.

Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar Opens March 1 in Rosemary Beach

Tried it last night. This place is OUTSTANDING. Super impressed. Had the duck and the seafood salad. Everything was terrific. Maybe THE best restaurant in this part of the country, IMO. At least on a par with Paradis, maybe better.
  26. T

    Lobster Roll

Nope. Gotta go about 1500 miles up east for a really good one.

Pescado Seafood Grill & Rooftop Bar Opens March 1 in Rosemary Beach

Menu looks great, interesting, not just "more of the same, in a different locale". Thinking about trying it out this coming weekend. Maybe by Saturday they'll have the kinks worked out.

Vin’tij moving to Grand Boulevard Summer 2018

They need a full bar in that location.

    Perfect Pig at Gulf place

Haven't tried the place yet. What do you guys think? Is it popular? That space it's in has been a "black hole" for restaurants in the past.

Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar Opens on Scenic 30A

It's an O.K. casual joint, nothing out of the ordinary.
  34. T

Whiskey Bravo Winter Hours and News

As soon as they start serving food cooked from scratch, instead of frozen, I'll give them another try. Otherwise no.

Borago moving back to Grayton location

The quality of everything at the 331 location slipped IMO.
  36. T

La Loba's Bakery Thanksgiving pies, cakes, etc

Never tried this place, how are the pies and cakes? IMO most bakery goods are not good at all, but if they are they're some of the best edibles on earth.

Who has best pizza in South Walton?

As far as Panama City, I'd say Marcus' Gulf Pizza on Thomas Drive. Very good conventional pizza, with cheese baked all the way to the edges.
  38. T

Who has best pizza in South Walton?

It's unusual and super thin, which not everyone likes, but IMO The Pickle Factory is the best pizza in SW.
  39. T

    Soft shell crab?

As a menu item? Lots of places. Best: Louisiana Lagniappe. Terrific.

Emeril's Coastal Italian Restaurant At Grand Boulevard opening 8/26/17

My martini was thimble-sized too. Another knock. Yeah, they need to re-think a lot, starting with portions and bread service.
  41. T

Emeril's Coastal Italian Restaurant At Grand Boulevard opening 8/26/17

Tried it last night. Pretty good overall. Grouper special was just O.K., but the skillet cornbread app was GREAT. Portions are really on the small side. They need to add bread service, ridiculous that you have to order bread, especially at an Italian eatery. I'd certainly try it again.

Five Daughters Bakery Airstream in Seaside, Florida

Is this open? This looks fantastic.

Locals Choice's And Most Overrated 30a Dining Spots

Actually, I went back Saturday and it had a completely different vibe. Not like Grayton, but certainly not redneck. On my last visit it was full of drunk rednecks wearing ball caps and spewing profanity. Hopefully that was an aberration.

    Anybody tried it yet? Thx.

The Spell Restaurant Group Welcomes Edward's Fine Food And Wine To Their Family Of Restaurants

Sure hope so. They really need a liquor license, IMO. Not everyone does, but they do. Ditto George's.

I Need Your Annual Recommendations For New Restaurants.

It's inconsistent. Agree that at its best, it's excellent. Both food and service are inconsistent though, IMO.
