We do have a traffic problem though and, like many cities and amusement parks, tourism is the primary industry here.

I think an additional tram from freeport to 98 would be a great idea and could be incorporated into the new bridge. It would resolve the traffic problems caused by lack of affordable housing for workers.

I didn't recommend the tram for 30A. Read above. I recommended it to go on the 98 median from ft. walton to panama city.

I should have clarified. A tram is traditionally a railborne vehicle. I would propose one that runs on an electric railway on the highway median, which is ideal and economical for the area since there is only one major thoroughfare. Will resorts be cooperative? If they need tourism maybe...

according to most realtors i know, alot of people are deciding to lose their deposit from pre-construction contracts or selling just to pay off the mortgage. right now the value of a house in this "market" is too volatile and really can only be judge by what someone else will pay for it at that...

hm...read just a few of the travel reviews online or, better yet, ask a tourist on their way home from a holiday here. i think you'll find the smugness sandestin feels about their own "success" is not exactly warranted. while they've had some success in the past. they're resting on their laurels...
