Perhaps you didn't understand what I wrote. My wife signed the anti-Hampton Inn petition, not a CU affidavit. She's very intelligent and she knows that any sworn statement has serious implications and is not to be taken lightly.

I'm no lawyer but my understanding is that a plaintiff must prove his case. How do the plaintiffs prove their case against several thousand people? And what are they trying to prove?

Maybe you could organize a protest and march on the state capitol.

CU is a moot point for me. I don't care to vacation or spend time in South Walton anyway. Too crowded and too much traffic and it gets worse every year.

I used to love spending time on the beach in South Walton but that was another time. I'm amazed that people want to come to such a hectic crowded place. I'll be glad when the matter is finally settled. While I don't have an interest in it, I tend to side with property owners.

I always thought that quitclaim deeds were worthless in most jurisdictions except maybe in places like the People's Republic of Massachusetts.

30a is certainly the place to go on vacation if you like crowds, traffic, litter and signs on roped off beaches.

It's amusing that "SoWal" seems to be an elite entity, unrelated to the rest of Walton County. You people need to secede from Walton County.

I don't think any one elected official is to blame for the growth in northwest Florida. The TDC certainly did it's job by making it a popular destination. So good that Walton County doesn't even need a TDC any longer. Frankly, South Walton was a lot more appealing in it's "Redneck Rivera" days.

I'm sure that you Walton county residents will figure it out. Maybe when you make South Walton a city you can pass a local law to fix the problem.

It's a bigger deal to me that continuous over building, development, and marketing keeps bringing in more and more tourists and traffic to Destin and South Walton. As far as I'm concerned, the area has lost it's appeal.
