    Saturday Breakfast / Brunch Suggestions?

Hi everyone! We are visiting this week and unfortunately, Saturday is sounding like a rainy day. Does anyone have any suggestions for a leisurely Saturday brunch or breakfast? We are in Seagrove, so closer is better, but we are open to new ideas. Thanks in advance!

How did I forget Fire?!? Try the Sunday brunch!

Hey, it's me again - on my annual search for that great SOWAL restaurant I've missed.

Last year we discovered Christiano's (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christianos-Italian-Restaurant-and-Pizzeria/140557306003571) and can't wait to go back again. Stinky's is worth the effort! For this year we are looking forward to trying The Perfect Pig and Grayton Bar & Grill. Counting...

Exciting news from Restaurant Fire: Breakfast!

This is great news! We have been looking for a good breakfast place since the Red Bar quit serving breakfast. http://www.sowal.com/bb/images/smilies/clap_1.gif

    Destin Restaurant Suggestions...

We haven't been in a couple of years, but we used to love La Paz in Destin for Mexican /seafood. We tried Lousiana Lagniappe, but found the food to be very average. Other ideas - try Baytowne Wharf or Grand Boulevard. There are multiple restaurants in both areas. We like Acme Oyster (BTW)...

Who has the Best Breakfast in SoWal?

As many have already noted, Stinky's Liar's Club rules for breakfast (especially since the Red Bar quit serving breakfast). Others to consider - Cowgirl Kitchen, Flip Flops and Seagrove Coyote all are great for a quick meal or to carry out.

    Help - Sports Bar Recommendations

Thanks! I want to thank everyone for the recommendations. We arrived Saturday, confirmed the no TV's in Tarpon Club rumor and headed to Shades. They had all the games on, beer specials and lots of good bar food. Despite our team losing, it was a great way to start our vacation at the beach!

    Help - Sports Bar Recommendations

Hi all - we need some help. We are coming down in September, and looking for a good place to watch college football. We heard that TV's are out in Seaside, and also a rumor that Shades has closed. Any of this true? If so, we would really appreciate any recommendations for a good place to...

    No TVs in Seaside restaurants

This is a crying shame. First of all, The Tarpon Club IS after all, a bar. (A bar that serves great food, but a bar nonetheless.) I fondly remember coming to Seaside in the fall, with our first stop at the Tarpon Club to grab a beer and watch Vandy almost defeat Bama while we waited for...

Breakfast closing at the Red Bar for the off season

Oh No!!! We are headed down next week, and my husband is crushed! Red Bar breakfast was a highlight of the trip for him. Any recommendations for other breakfast options???? Thanks in advance!

    Zac Brown Band

I really recommend going to at least one Buffett show if for nothing but the people watching experience. We have been going ever since college (more years than I want to count:blush:) and each year is different and never ever boring. Wait until the week before and try tickets on e-bay - I'm...

    Zac Brown Band

Saw Zac Brown with Jimmy Buffett Last Night  I was at the Jimmy Buffett concert in Atlanta last night and had the unexpected bonus of getting to see Zac Brown join Jimmy for 3 songs. They also played a couple of clips from the CMT special during intermission. Anyway, just wanted to...

    Sports Bars on 30A

We are planning a trip down in the middle of college football season and I want to make sure my hubby doesn't go through withdrawal while we are there :funn: Can anyone recommend a good place to watch TV sports in the 30A area? Preferably a place that will get the PayPerView games, since our...

Best Of From Our Recent Visit

We recently spent a wonderful week in the area - we had a great time on the beach and being lazy. But our favorite pass-time was sampling the wonderful restaurants on 30A. Thought I would share our "Best Of 30A Dining" - no way this is a conclusive list (we were only there for a week...

    Cheap Eats?

Flip Flops We have found Flip Flops to be a great value for the money spent. The burgers and po-boys are great - better than any others we have found in the 30A area! Give it a try for lunch or dinner - I bet you will not be disappointed! ___________________________________________

    Hurricane Oyster Bar

We are visiting from ATL and went to Hurricanes for the first time yesterday. The service was great, and the food even better. The manager even came out to offer us several alternatives when they ran out of scallops for the St Jack oysters - then threw in a few extra for the inconvience...

    SportsBars in SoWal?

College Football Fanatic and regular visitor to 30A. Looking for alternative to Busters due to distance. We stay in Seagrove in fall and love to mix in some good football viewing when we can. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

    Gas Availability

    Gas Availability

PLEASE - do not fall for the WSB radio hysteria. Atlanta has plenty of gas - or would have if the folks hadn't paniced yesterday. The pipelines are operating now (at less than full capacity but operating). But the rest of the story - as a famous radion personality says - Atlanta / GA actually...
