I'm also a life long cyclist. Been riding bicycles since I was 5 years old. And in my opinion, anybody who rides a bicycle on a road designed for and used by motorized vehicles is downright crazy. Not to mention annoying.

Two chairs and an umbrella are $20/day on the beach right there. If you're the type that spends several hours a day on the beach you probably would be better off buying a cheap umbrella ($28 IIRC) and a couple of beach chairs.

Enjoyed Cantina Laredo on Tuesday night thanks to recommendations here. Good stuff. Tonight had toasted ravioli and pizza at Enzo's, followed by the Basic Character Flaws at the Seaside Rep. Again, all thanks to recommendations I read here. We've had another wonderful time here with only one...

Ate there last night, and let me add to the great reviews. Terrific atmosphere, good food, and the mango margarita was excellent ($8).

I can save you 5-10 minutes here. After you have been on 431 for about a mile or two, take a left onto ALA rte 165; After 32 miles or so it will end at 431 just north of Eufala. Take a left and continue as usual. But don't tell anyone else about this shortcut. I don't want the word to get out. :D

Fishing Yesterday was spent fishing. Most of what I caught was too small to keep, but here is my daughter landing one, along with the sunset, and some of the boat's catch:

I am posting from the Villas at Seacrest right now, where I've got a strong signal on somebody's network. I have heard that the Seacrest Cafe next door offers free wireless.

Another beautiful day Spent an hour or so at the pool, then the rest of the day at the beach. Saw about a 3 foot fish of some sort leap completely out of the water not far from where the kids were playing. Looked cool.

We use 79 as well, but we're coming from the east. Not sure if it would be worth driving that far then doubling back.

It was green yesterday at Seacrest/Rosemary Beach. :biggrin:

Joe, I have three daughters aged 19, 17, and 14. Do you think the show is appropriate for a 14 year old? One of her favorite TV shows is Whose Line Is It Anyway?, so I think she'll like the show. The ad says they don't resort to vulgar language. Do they avoid the f-bombs?

The Back Porch in Destin is like that. Kids can play on the beach while you wait. If past history holds, there will be quite a wait the week you will be there.

This looks like a place I'd like to try. I'm the only seafood eater in a family of 5, so do you think if I call in advance you can some chicken fingers and fries for my 3 teenage daughters and hamburger for the wife? :rolling:

LOL, just realized I'm sitting here in my Goatfeathers tshirt while reading this forum I just found. Similar to what the last guy said, it is ok but nothing special in my opinion.

For the past several years we have timed our arrival so we can have lunch at Angelina's, then I drop the family off at the pool at Seacrest and go check in while they swim. One more month and I'll be doing it again. Can't wait.
