Remove Septic Tanks on beaches and lakes

This bacteria has a high survival rate in beach sand! Nutrients in the sand can make a perfect breeding ground! Our beaches have been polluted with dispersed oil, that has attached to sand grains, been moved by sea and wind up the beach and was deposited in a thick sedimentary layer below the...

    all hail, King brannon

actually, that is the best reason to have non party local elections. The election is decided in the primary, and there is always a "D" (real or not) on the ballet to keep us dems from voting! It is the reason we have no voice or representatives in the county.

Dirty Sand being deposited on beach right now

So isn't the county government there to protect us.The powers have already decided that this is critically eroded beach. It does not take a scientist to see the damage that is being done. Many have called the county, but they do nothing and watch our beach being washed away! Shouldn't THEY...

Dirty Sand being deposited on beach right now

Back to the issue at the beach today. I was running in the surf as a truck approached. I didn't move so he was forced out of the surf, and his look said he did not approve of me being there. Many of the people who beach walk at blue mountain are older people. They cannot negotiate the wheel...

Dirty Sand being deposited on beach right now

I have been watching them race in the surf on stormy days. they have driven over every inch of beach from grayton to the retreat. You can not sit on the beach without being in DEEP wheel tracks. The erosion they have caused far exceeds the amount of sand they are moving! Will they bring sand in...

    Casino at Sandestin?

    Casino at Sandestin?

I think Misty has it right. The sudden push for us to buy a bridge that we don't need is related to the need to feed a casino. No bridge, no casino!

Bridge Addition for US HWY 331

I would take tax over toll, but there is a third option. Do we need a new bridge? I don't think so. We only need a new bridge for the development that has not happened yet. Why should we finance the ruin of our neighborhoods. If sandestin needs a bridge to their casino, let them pay for it. If...

    Trapped for Days!

Well I fear rocky must have paid with his life for trespassing too close to the inn at blue mountain! The trap is now emty, but reset. So one could assume that the evil property manager has terminated rocky, after first starving and tormenting him! I guess their condo's are now safe!

    Trapped for Days!

The trap is from the Inn. It is a coon that was under the bridge in the dark and cold. It had dug and clawed mud all around the trap attempting to free inself. The people live in condo's. If they could get away with it, you would see traps on the beach with people from the brick yard in them...

    Trapped for Days!

This may be legal, but is it right? this little coon has been in a trap under the bridge at the blue lupine inn at the end of redfish circle, for at least two days! It is not the first coon to be abused before death at this location. Should living creatures be treated in this manner?
