I've seen you post about your son at Mizzou, great school.

I was born in California, but raised in Southeastern Missouri, where we live now. My whole family is from this area, beautiful lakes and rivers. My hubby's family is from a small town between Jefferson City, Mo. and Columbia Mo.

I think this board is very informative and it is nice to read about the area of So. Walton...but it is the people that make it interesting. ;-)

We went to Goatfeathers while on vacation at Blue Mountain Beach. We DID have a big party (12) but it took an hour wait before we were seated and and hour wait after we were seated to just be waited on. It was excellent food though.

I just read the post from Carter.....Thursday was the day we saw a dark shadow swimming down the beach about 75' out in Blue Mountain Beach where we stayed. Everyone got out of the water as well. :eek:

Yes, Beachdreamer, I totally agree with you....on all topics. I HAVE been to Washington D.C., once (many moons ago, my senior trip) I LOVED it. I agree that it is a very humbling experience and even as an 18 year old, I found it very powerful. I love going on vacation, no matter where it is...

Thank you Lurker 1 for coming to my defense! Glad to know that Cheryl Crow actually DID own a home there! And to Smiling Joe....my kids have plenty of imagination, they do not own these things that you speak of. They enjoy snorkel trips, dolphin tours and parasailing when we come to Florida...
