Found SoWal.com while surfing google for family history a couple of years ago. The hook then was Smiling JOe. He was and is my favorite character on this soap opera of SoWal. I finally got a login at the end of last year and decided to join the cast.

It didn't. Philips Inlet is the inlet. Lake Powell is the lake. They are two different things. The inlet is the area the bridge goes over and is the body of water which flows in from and out to the gulf. The lake is the large body of water farther inland.

While in Inlet Beach, we tend to consider the gulf our front door, and Lake Powell our back door. I'm old schooled, when I was growing up, we considered anything after Philips Inlet bridge to be in Inlet Beach and Walton County. Still access to Lake Powell extends the shores of Inlet Beach...
