Change is not always good. Upgrades are great, but reinventing something after 30 years doesn't males sense to me.

When I am on vacation one of the things I want to do to get away and relax, is sit outside watch a game and have some drinks. I am one that completely disagrees with this decision. I just don't know why the Seaside Admin is looking to take the fun out of Seaside. Again, it's nothing like it...

I think the bigger question is how can that be good for Seaside businesses? If I am at Seaside during football season, I'm in my house, or more likely at somewhere not in seaside where I can watch the games. That mean my money isn't there either. Do I need to reconsider my coming to Seaside...

Do I understand that B&A Tarpon club is now TVless for football?

I want to thank everyone in SoWal. Every time we come down we are treated like we have been there for years. I have never been around a nicer or friendlier group of people than those throughout SoWal. Whether it's a need for a keylime pie or recommendation on food or drink. SoWallers rock!!!!

Change to Dish. It is so much easier to get locals in HD. There boxes are way better as well. PIP, dual tuners, great DVR, etc.

There are also many private residences that can be rented via sites like VRBO.com that have very nice and inexpensive homes available. They are not necessarily in the middle of a town, but nothing on 30a is a far drive. It allows you to enjoy the area, without have to spend a ton of dough.

And I can tell you that he is not that well liked here in Nebraska... :angry:

We were down October 1-5. I would certainly try Shorty's. After being forgotten at Red Bar on the 1st, we ventured over there for dinner and it rocked. Must be the building because we loved D & K's as well. We also had a great lunch on Saturday the 3rd. It was all good!!! Also caught Fire...

As an outsider who just loves to visit, it seems that Seaside has lost that beachy feel as it has made a move to a modern version of New Urbanism. Big Italian look is not what I think of when I think of Seaside. The people are still great, but if this plan comes to fruition, Seaside will never...

After reading everything, I go back to my first question. Why Orlando? Get in the car and drive. The other three cities make complete sense. If the goal is to get people to SoWal, (I can never say PCB), then they should have had a mid-west city. I will have to fly...

I'm a little disappointed that St. Louis wasn't the fourth city. Seems like a waste from Orlando. Get in the car and drive. I hope St. Louis is added. The mid-west is being ignored. It will be two stops to fly from Omaha now. :bang:

Is it just me, or can Seaside not stay out of its own way sometimes. It's still a great place, and the only place we ever vacation, but some of the changes and decisions over the years don't make much sense to me.

As a Northener, I am thrilled I will never have to leave SoWal to do anything, but what happened to Rendez-Vous to cause them to go? :idontno:
