Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Meeting, 4 p.m., Freeport Community Center, 16040 U.S. Highway 331. To provide information on the widening of U.S. 331 from the north end of Choctawhatchee Bay Relief Bridge to one-half mile south of State Road 20 in Freeport. Florida Department of Transportation proposes to widen this part of U.S. 331 from its present two lanes to four, along with other design improvements. Meeting is to present preferred design concept and receive comments from elected offi cials and citizens. The half-mile of roadway from State Road 20 to the segment that this meeting will discuss is being widened now. County Commissioners and County Administrator Ronnie Bell will attend, discussing Walton County?s federal legislative agenda: U.S. Highway 331 four-laning and Choctawhatchee Bay Bridge widening.
