"An Evening with District One Commissioner Scott Brannon" will be presented at the South Walton Community Council meeting beginning at 7 p.m. April 28, at the Coastal Branch library.

Brannon is vice chair of the Walton County Board of County Commissioners. He has a bachelor of science degree in political science from Florida State University, is a partner in his family?s construction/real estate business and is a realtor. Elected last November at age 23, he was the youngest member ever elected to the board.

Brannon will talk about Walton County?s issues and priorities, and will respond to questions from the audience.

SWCC is an organization of residents, business owners, property owners, workers and neighborhood groups whose mission it is to preserve, protect and enhance the quality of life and natural environment of south Walton County.

Public meetings of the SWCC are held on the fourth Thursday of most months except for November, when it is the third Thursday. No public meetings are held in July, August or December.

The library is located at 437 Greenway Trail in the Walton County government-education complex on U.S. Highway 331.
