As the South Walton community looks forward to a busy spring and summer, Seagrove restaurant 723 Whiskey Bravo is preparing to kick off the season by teaming again with non-profit Angel Flight Soars for the second annual Party with a Purpose set for Saturday, February 28. After the 2014 event raised over $85,000 for the non-profit, owners Skip and Victoria Moore can’t think of a better way to celebrate Whiskey Bravo’s fourth year than by making a difference for those in need.

Angel Flight utilizes a network of volunteer pilots to arrange free air transportation for people who need to travel to receive lifesaving medical treatment, but lack the means. The Moores began flying missions after they acquired their Cirrus SR22 and Skip received his instrument rating. The organization helps families focus on getting better instead of worrying about how to get there, whether the boundaries are geographic or monetary.

Guests are encouraged to follow the “white chic” dress code and will be treated to an elegant aviation-inspired evening with whiskey tasting, cigar rolling, mouth-watering cuisine and entertainment by local musician Chris Alvarado. Luxurious auction lots include a trip to the Masters with private air fare to Augusta, a weekend in New Orleans with New Orleans Saints tickets and dinner at Emeril’s, a stunt-plane flight adventure in Atlanta, VIP event packages and more. Ticket sales, auction lots and monies from “Raise the Paddle” help offset the costs of transportation, which can be $500 for one trip.

In addition to hosting Party with a Purpose, Whiskey Bravo is continuing its Bravo the Bear campaign, where diners have been rounding up after meals to support the cause. Since August 2013, this campaign has raised over $18,000 for Angel Flight. The restaurant is also launching a new transportation service with the Bravo Bus, which will pick up customers at designated locations along 30A. Route details will be announced soon.
