What: 7th Annual Apple Classic 5K and 10K

When: February 3rd, 2018
Race begins at 9:00 am, packet pickup and race day registration begin at 7:30 am. 10K begins first, 5K starts 10 minutes after 10K.
Where: Hammock Bay in Freeport, FL
Who: Presented by the Walton Education Foundation
Why: The Walton Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 1995 by a rising need for support specific to teachers in Walton County. The Foundation has grown to not only help all teachers in Walton County, but to expand its impact and support teachers, their students and schools. The Foundation provides annual giving and volunteer opportunities that directly serve our students, teachers and schools through a series of educational programs and grants.
About the Course:
This is a flat open road course. This event is RAIN OR SHINE - NO REFUNDS. The Apple Classic 5K and 10K courses are certified and the event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
How Much:
$35 for 5K and 10K participants before Jan. 15
$40 for 5K and 10K participants on or after Jan. 15
$20 for students
New This Year:
All runners will receive a participant medal and long sleeve white t-shirt.
Both courses are certified and the event is sanctioned by USA Track & Field.
STUDENTS: Please ask your School’s Coach or Athletic Director about all registration options! All schools will be competing for the most participation for Elementary, Middle and High – each category winner will win a $500 grant toward their Athletic/PE department from the Walton Education Foundation.
FAMILIES:
Strollers and small children on bikes are welcome.
