The six foot long table features a planked top and unique carved trestle base in a deep honey finish. It's made of high quality, solid reclaimed teak -- no veneers! The dining chairs feature half-slat high backs and comfy curved seats.
(Reclaimed teak wood was harvested and milled decades ago, crafted into housing, furniture, or flooring, and then re-crafted into new furniture for today's use. Since the original timbers consisted of large old growth trees, this wood is very strong and durable in addition to having a lovely texture and color. It is cleaned to remove old finishes, varnishes, oils, dirt and particles as well as all old hardware. Craftsmen then plane and sand each piece of wood to restore the grain and color, and craft it into a usable size for the styles being created. The wood is then kiln-dried to obtain the optimum moisture content, sanded and finished, making it ready for construction.)
