Rest in peace kind soul.
So sad to hear this today. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met. Rest In Peace Mr. Modica. My heart and prayers go out to your family. You will be greatly missed.
RIP Charlie, may your family find peace during this time.
So sorry to hear, he was a kind man.
End of an era.
I am so sorry to hear that. Will keep the family in my prayers.
I worked for the Modica family 15 years ago, when Squirt was a baby and I was finishing my degree. In addition to being one of the kindest, most personable people I've ever known, Mr. Charlie was absolutely brilliant when it came to marketing and running a grocery. I witnessed too many instances to share here - but it was amazing.
May God bless Sarah, Carmel, Mary Jo, Charles and their families tonight and in the days and weeks to come.
He was working the register, it seems, less than ten days ago. He seemed like his wonderful , charming self. He didn't seem in bad health, at all. He, as much as anyone, was the heart of Seaside.
very sad news. he was a lovely man, always pleasant. he and sarah raised great children, as well!
I am sad, I just don't know what to say right now. He will be missed.
So sorry to hear this.
Lots of fond memories of Mr. Modica! Seaside won't be the same without him, for sure. A real gentleman.
