March 20: Gov. Ron DeSantis issued an executive order Friday closing all restaurant dining areas in the state of Florida to help contain the spread of coronavirus.
Restaurants will still be allowed to do takeout orders and also will be allowed to sell alcohol for takeout or delivery with a food order.
The executive order is effective immediately and expires whenever the current state of emergency - which DeSantis declared on March 9 - ends.
Local restaurants are making decisions and already implementing curbside pickup services and/or delivery. At the same time, many restaurants are closing until further notice.
This thread will provide an updated LIST of restaurants temporarily closed in the area.
If you have information about closed restaurants please add here.
Restaurants that are OPEN will be announced in SoWal Dining Forum individually with details on menus and services.
