I received a frantic call by my oldest daughter around 11:30 am yesterday. I was hesitant to post this but can not get it off my mind. Her dog of nine years had just been hit by a car in front of her mothers home on East Mitchell street in Point Washington. She was hysterical and alone. The driver never stopped. I know for sure her dog was a pest and would chase cars. I know he probably drove many people crazy on that road when he visited from college. I also know he only chased cars that were driving too fast. He never paid much attention to the cars that were slowly driving down the street. I am not posting this to come after this driver. I am not giving the description of the car. I know which car it was and I know where they live. That is not going to bring the dog back. If the driver does come on SoWal I ask if you read this, slow down. If you hit a kids dog you could at least stop and try to help out. She was left standing there alone with her dead dog of nine years. This was her little baby. I would like to truly believe you did not know you hit the dog. My daughter is pretty confident you know. They say that a persons true character is determined by what they do when they think no one is watching. There was someone watching my friend. My daughter and Murray. May he rest in peace.
