Destin History and Fishing Museum

The Destin Fishing Rodeo is currently in full swing. We recently sat down with Kathy Marler Blue of the "Destin History and Fishing Museum". Kathy comes from one of Destin's original founding families and the Bridge that goes over Crab Island from Fort Walton Beach to Destin is named after her grandpa... the "Marler Bridge"

Anyway, they have an entire section of the museum dedicated to the Destin Fishing Rodeo. The room is called the "Rodeo Room" so for those interested in learning more about this amazing, World-Class tournament, consider visiting the Destin History and Fishing Museum...

This is a trip well worth taking. First time I went many many years ago I thought - oh I'll be out of here in no time and then talked to Kathy about the history of this area. Amazing wealth of knowledge. Spent hours in the museum learning so much about my home
