Hello - I recently moved to the Santa Rosa Beach area. From what I understand, you must be a land owner and obtain a permit in order to take your dog to the beaches in this county. I have a golden retriever who has A LOT of energy and loves the water. Does anyone know of areas by the water (not necessarily the beach) where I could take her to swim & play? Any dog friendly advice is welcomed! Thanks.

Since you asked for "dog friendly advice"....you might want to read the posts on the alligator thread before choosing a body of water for you and your dog to frequent. At least the beaches are relatively alligator free (I say "relatively" because there are rare reports of an alligator spotted swimming in the surf).
