Jun 8th | Learn To Talk Dog
In Learn To Talk Dog attendees will use knowledge of canine language to better understand their dogs’ emotional states and predict what they may do next. Debbie will discuss how to recognize fearful vs aggressive body language and learn human body language basics too. Learn how to ‘listen with your eyes’ and improve your understanding and communication with dogs. Videos and case studies will be presented.

July 13th | Calming Dog Reactivity
Calming Dog Reactivity will focus on dogs that are over-reactive or aggressive around other dogs and highlight the difference between behavior modification and training. Debbie will discuss reasons why a dog may develop a behavior problem and the keys to working with a reactive dog. You will understand how ‘trigger stacking’ can lead to an aggressive event. In order to help your young dogs develop into confident, well-adjusted pets Debbie will discuss strategies to “bomb-proof” your dog. Videos and case studies will be presented.

Dog-Harmony, Inc. is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization, made up of passionate and determined problem-solving dog lovers who want to make a difference using personalized and ongoing education, support, and training for people and dogs.

They take the hard work and emotional stress out of choosing the right dog by initially having you answer a questionnaire based on the ASPCA "Meet Your Match" program, discussing your needs with you and proposing only breeds that are right for you. Then they will suggest available dogs currently awaiting homes from local kill shelters or in situations where they need rehousing and will also work with you through the training process.

Ultimately, their goal is the same as yours and the same as your prospective new friend—to match the right home with the right dog.
