What’s SUP? Dune Laker Paddle Boil 2021

What better way is there to spend a Saturday on 30A than going paddle boarding and eating all the crawfish your heart desires with hundreds of your closest friends. Bring your bibs because Distillery 98 is putting on the event of the summer at its Dune Laker Paddle Boil beginning 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 22nd.

To celebrate its first year in business, Distillery 98 will kick off the day with a one-mile paddle board race around Eastern Lake. Don’t have a paddle board? Not a problem! YOLO Board, a sponsor of this event, is providing premium boards to rent the morning off for a small donation to chosen beneficiary, Gulf Therapy. Gulf Therapy is a local organization that tackles mental health issues by connecting people to three very important ingredients: saltwater, sand and sunshine. And trust us, there will be lots of these three ingredients here! Gulf Therapy will also provide boards for rent for those who may not have one in tow.

So, now that everyone has access to a board, it’s time to embrace your competitive side. Since this is a race after all, Distillery 98 will be awarding a variety of winners. Worried that you won’t finish first or you just want to take your time enjoying the beautiful scenery on the water? We got you covered. The best dressed and last-place finisher will also be awarded, so those who are slow and steady might just win the race here!

With live music, complimentary bloody marys from Better Together Beverage and being out on the water enjoying the sunshine, the morning is jam packed with absolutely everything you can ask for and more. Plus, Old Florida Fish House is steps away, so everyone can “brunch” it out after the race while enjoying live music. Old Florida Fish House will be providing a free valet service in its parking lot beginning at 7:30 a.m., and Beachy Bean Coffee Co. will be serving coffee if you need a quick caffeine boost before the race. Lululemon will also have a pop-up tent offering water bottles and retail therapy for shoppers after the race.

But wait– there’s more! Following the race, Distillery 98 is hosting an epic crawfish boil at the local distillery. Tickets are on sale NOW through 850tix and include General Admission access, which includes all-you-can-drink Dune Laker along with a Lululemon bag, complimentary t-shirt and cup. VIP Tickets will also be on sale, which include General Admission perks PLUS all-you-can-eat-crawfish. Beginning at 3 p.m., this party will feature live music by Boukou Groove and Dread Clampitt as well as opportunities to try the company’s signature vodka, Dune Laker, and its BRAND NEW spirit, Martin Migration, which will be available for purchase during the celebratory event. DJ Dad will be DJing when you walk through the entry doors of the distillery to visit the all-you-can-drink bar. Outside, Sports to Geaux will be serving crawfish and Sweet Henrietta’s will be providing a dessert table. There will also be other tents set up for beer and wine. Did we mention there will be a merch area to purchase Martin Migration, t-shirts and signed Bryan Hand prints? You won’t want to miss this or any photo opportunities through the 30A Photobooth that will be open.

Featuring items such as a Restaurant Paradis $100 gift card, a Justin Gaffrey painting, The Henderson 50-minute spa treatment, 2-night stay and breakfast, and an Exploration Flight with Island Air Express, there are numerous raffle items up for grabs. You won’t want to miss the chance to win any of these awesome packages. The First Raffle Grand Prize Winner, an event rental for Distillery 98, will be announced at 5 p.m. The Second Raffle Grand Prize Winner, a brand-new YOLO Board, will be announced at 7:30 p.m. and will conclude the party.
