Ecumenical Choir of Walton County
Presents

"Living in the Homeland"

Ten years have passed since that horrific day in September. Over 35 talented and devoted singers and instrumentalists from various local church congregations will come together to remember that day and honor those who have served or are serving our country.

There will be two presentations, at Christ the King Episcopal Church on Hwy 393 (1/2 mile north of Hwy 98) in Santa Rosa Beach:

September 11, Sunday Matinee from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
and
September 12, Monday evening from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Ten (10) years ago we witnessed the unthinkable – the unfathomable. Today we remember and honor those who lost their lives . To the innocents and to the ones who stood in harm's way to save others…we remember. We must never forget the sacrifices made, the promises kept, the costs incurred. We must never lose the beauty and the harmony of the sacred song of freedom.

We, the people, are the keepers of the flame, entrusted with the holy light of freedom. That light shines on the greatness of America, but also illuminates that which must be addressed and changed. There is much to celebrate--there is much to overcome. Freedom is the foundation of our national heritage – but freedom can only survive if it is anchored in Truth – His Truth.

All are encouraged to bring in-date canned goods for those in need in the community. The Choir is a community outreach organization based at Christ the King and all free will offerings received go to worthy local causes like Caring and Sharing, Lighthouse Family Retreat, and Children's Advocacy Center, just to name a few.
