Qualifications:
High school education plus two or more years of administrative and/or event planning or management experience.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and strong communication skills.
Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve matters.
Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment.
Strong organizational and efficient time management skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft office products, database systems, social media sites, and the ability to learn new software.
Must be focused, flexible and have great attention to detail.
Must have exceptional customer service, be self-confident, and motivated.
Ability to take & give direction.
Responsibilities:
Perform a wide variety of administrative assignments.
Operate a computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise and print proposals, letters, reports and other documents.
Greet and direct visitors and answer phone calls.
Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with clients, vendors and associates.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned and any other tasks / duties as requested.
Establish, maintain and update client files, records and other documents.
Calculate event budgets and ensure they are adhered to.
Create event proposals by referring to price lists and menus.
Book talent and outside vendors - including musicians, bands, photographers, florists, rentals, etc.
Plan layout of seating and decorations for events.
Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met and that events run smoothly.
Secure event space and permits.
Manage correspondence.
Keep inventory of event materials.
