The Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, Miramar Beach, FL is currently looking for and Events Manager.

Located along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay in Northwest Florida, The Village of Baytowne Wharf features an array of boutiques, eateries, galleries and nightlife -- not to mention a jam-packed schedule of outdoor festivals and special events for the entire family. This spectacular setting, all within the gates of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, is the perfect spot to spend a vibrant afternoon, evening, week, vacation.

The position is full-time and year-round with benefits.

The Event Manager is responsible for planning, execution, promotion, and evaluation of more than 150 annual events at the shopping, dining, and retail destination of The Village of Baytowne Wharf.

Functions:
• Establish and manage annual budget and Event Calendar-including talent negotiations and all vendor contracts.
• Instrumental in strategic community relationships, establishing nonprofit partnerships, and recruiting 400+ annual volunteers.
• Produce annual event marketing plan-including e-blast campaigns, graphic designs, print and digital media, and more.
• Oversee management of 10+ websites and social media platforms.
• Establish analytics and tracking mechanisms to measure effectiveness of events promotions.
• Homeowner/Merchant/Resort Relations-Work closely with all BWNA contributors to establish and meet long term goals and initiatives.
• Flexibility in work hours. Required to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays.
• Sets up, executes, and breaks down all events in conjunction with BWNA Team.
• A direct supervisor for The Event Coordinator.
• Collaborates & works closely with The Event Coordinator on all events to ensure needs and expectations are communicated in a timely and detailed manner for event execution.
• Work independently toward a set of long-term goals and objectives.
• Ability to adhere to timelines and manage high stress situations is imperative.
• Assist with other projects as assigned by Executive Director

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of event and marketing experience.
• Above average organizational and stress management skills.
• Possess ability to compose business communications.
• High organized, ability to multitask, and great leadership skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and social media platforms.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
