We recently attended a soft opening of the totally remodeled Fish Out of Water at WaterColor Inn. The famous fine dining spot has a new nickname as part of its brand: FOOW (Foo) or #FOOW30A.
We had a great night at FOOW overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in WaterColor Florida. The new layout of the WaterColor Inn restaurant is fantastic, sleek and opens up the vast dining room to views of the water from the bar and throughout the interior. Sit at the indoor bar and face the Gulf or enjoy dining and cocktails on the covered deck with the most incredible views anywhere on the coast.
Enjoyed seeing many local friends who were treated to a wonderful dinner from the new menu. The restaurant will be open to the public this coming Saturday night (unless this changes)...
The restaurant will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'll share a menu when we get all the final scoop!

FOOW is the acronym for and new iteration of the restaurant formerly known as Fish Out of Water.
Reopening in late June 2018, FOOW remains committed to offering the same high-quality service and cuisine it is known for, now in a more approachable, coastal, family-friendly setting.
As one of the 30A area’s only large family-style restaurants and bars overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, FOOW embodies the spirit of the WaterColor community: coastal, fun, and unpretentious, with impeccable service and cuisine. A destination for eating well in lively and approachable surroundings, FOOW is “WaterColor casual” at its finest!
The menu, drinks, and interior design, coupled with a streamlined open-air kitchen, create a lively and engaging ambience- perfect for a midday break with family, a fun evening with friends or a romantic date night.
FOOW will feature live music seasonally; and the expanded FOOWbar will offer an inspired beverage program featuring some of the world’s best tequilas, rums, and more! For large groups for special celebrations, the FOOWroom is a private getaway from the crowds, surrounded by an impressive wine cellar.
Executive Sous Chef Preetam Pardeshi oversees all culinary programming for the restaurant, creating locally-sourced Southern cuisine with global touches influenced by his own southwest Indian heritage, beloved family recipes, and world-class hospitality experience. The FOOW menu comes courtesy of Chef de Cuisine Christopher Mayhue, who brings his own Southern heritage, world travels, and exceptional culinary experience.
FOOW will also have a retail store, FOOWshoppe, offering FOOW spices and sauces, as well as adults and kids apparel complete with light-hearted, fun phrases.

During this time, The Gathering Spot, located on the main lobby level of the hotel, will be open to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
