Fore Her Charity Golf Tournament at Emerald Bay Golf Club Oct. 10

The 3rd Annual Fore Her Golf Outing will tee off at Emerald Bay Golf Club on Oct. 10. Check in begins at 8 a.m. and tee off is at 9 a.m. with a Shotgun Start.

The day of the event will include a fun filled 18 holes of golf (think Dress Like a Girl Hole and HUGE bras on every golf cart), food samples on the course, hole in one prizes, including a Clear Canoe and a pink golf cart from Electric Cart Company, lunch after the outing and a silent auction. All tournament participants will receive a swag bag filled with gifts from event sponsors.


Tournament pricing is $75 per person or $300 for a team of four players and sponsorship opportunities are available.


Proceeds of the tournament will benefit Fore Her, a local charity that provides financial relief to breast cancer patients so they may have less stress during their battle. Time to tee up and golf at the 3rd Annual Fore Her Golf Outing, Oct. 10, 2015 at Emerald Bay Golf Club. The course includes multiple water features and views of the bay as it winds through the community of Emerald Bay.

New to this year's outing will be the helicopter golf ball drop sponsored by 30A Television. When you purchase 3 balls they are assigned to you in numerical order of being sold (i.e. you buy numbers 100, 101, 102). All numbered balls are put in a big bucket and flown by helicopter then dropped onto a designated area on the driving range at Emerald Bay Golf Club.

The ball that goes in the designated hole wins $1,000 cash or 25% of the gross sales of golf balls, whichever is greater. The two balls closest to the designated hole without going in will each win $250 cash. If a ball doesn't go in the hole, then the ball closest to hole wins $500 cash and the next two closest win $250 each. You do not need to be present to win.

Funds raised from sales of golf balls for the helicopter drop will help breast cancer patients and their families in financial need. Purchase one golf ball for $20 or three for $50 at www.foreher.org.
