Veterans Day: Monday November 11

There's nothing we love more than the beach in SoWal, and some of the area's most pristine sites are protected within State Parks. Whether you want to hike through dunes and along the Western Lake shore in Grayton Beach State Park, observe wildlife at St. Andrews State Park, spend the day on undeveloped beaches in Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, stroll the gardens at Eden Gardens State Park... or take a day trip to the Florida Caverns, you'll get to see it all for free.

See a complete listing of State Parks in our area, view photos and plan your next adventure in SoWal Parks!

FLORIDA STATE PARKS
In honor of Veterans Day, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection announces that Florida State Parks will offer free admission for all families and visitors on Monday, Nov. 11. “It is an honor to offer free entry to Florida’s outstanding state parks for all visitors as a sign of appreciation for veterans who have served and continue to serve our country," DEP Secretary Noah Valenstein said. "We invite everyone to come out and enjoy these prized natural resources.”

In addition, discounts on annual entrance passes are available to those who serve or have served in the U.S. military. Free lifetime military entrance passes are available for veterans with service-related disabilities and for surviving spouses and parents of members of the U.S. military who have fallen in combat.
