Friends of Habitat for Humanity Walton County:
Every April, hundreds of supporters attend the Destin Charity Wine Auction at Grand Boulevard where millions are raised to benefit Northwest Florida charities, including Habitat for Humanity of Walton County.
In support of DCWAF, Habitat builds the floor of the auction event with plywood donated by Rex Lumber. The wood is later used in the year to build Habitat homes in Walton County.
To make this possible we rely on the help of 100 volunteers on two days to install and dismantle the plywood flooring. As our biggest volunteer build of the year, Lumber of Love is truly is a labor of love.
Install: SAT, APRIL 21 @ 8AM
Dismantle: SUN, APRIL 29 @ 9AM
Volunteers aren't only giving to Habitat, but to 14 other charities who also benefit from the Destin Charity Wine Auction and the families whose Habitat homes will be constructed with the lumber.
