What: Haz-Mat Collection Day at Topsail
When: Saturday, October 16, 2021
Time: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Where: Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Clean Earth and the Walton Board of County Commissioners will be hosting a free household hazardous materials collection day at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for Walton County residents on Saturday, October 16 from 8AM - 12PM. Waste tire amnesty will also be held at the same location during the collection day.

Household hazardous waste isn’t like ordinary trash, and these items don’t belong in the garbage or recycling bin. If they’re not safely thrown out, they can become dangerous. Instead, this fast and convenient event gives residents the opportunity to turn in items such as:

Pesticides, Batteries, Used oil, Paint, Fertilizers, Pool chemicals, “E-waste” such as computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, etc.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: No gas cylinders. No explosives. No ammo.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, located on the west side of Scenic 30A in South Walton, offers a wide variety of natural resources including 3.2 miles of secluded, white sand beaches with majestic dunes over 25 feet tall.
