Friday, July 3rd | FunkBration featuring Ivan Neville, "Big D" Perkins, and Donnie Sundal
Ivan Neville - Keyboardist, singer, and songwriter Ivan Neville is the son of Aaron Neville. Though he has performed often with the Neville Brothers, he established himself as a go-to studio and touring musician. He was a member of Bonnie Raitt’s band between 1985-1987, and guested on other dates by a plethora of artists including the Rolling Stones, Don Henley, Paula Abdul, Robbie Robertson, Rufus, Delbert McClinton, and, of course, the Nevilles. He was also a member of Keith Richards’ touring X-Pensive Winos outfit on the Talk Is Cheap tour.
Founded on the stage at Tipitinas in NOLA in 2010, Boukou Groove is the brainchild of singer/producer Donnie Sundal and New Orleans guitar luminary Derwin “Big D” Perkins. Sundal, sharing stages and recording with the likes of Sam Bush, Col.Bruce Hampton and Junior Marvin of The Wailers, creates an infectious blend of energy and enthusiasm as he showcases his multi-octave ranging vocals while sustaining his brand of lavish Moog bass lines. Big D (Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentleman, Bonnie Raitt and Dr.John) provides his smooth and funky guitar licks largely based on improvisation and feel alone. Together, no matter what the venue, the band provides their distinguishing style and creates a kinetic environment that’s easily spread throughout the audience.
Meals are $10.00 - Catering available by Deep Dish Rescue. Beer, Wine and Non - Alcoholic Beverages available for purchase ( no outside food or beverages during the event). Cash and Credit Cards accepted.
Arnett's Gulfside Ranch is located on County Hwy 393 South in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida just north of the Gulf of Mexico. The 20 acre horse ranch is a SoWal adventure offering trail rides, stables, events, parties, and camp ground adjoining the 13,800 acre Point Washington State Forest on Florida's Emerald Coast. The state forest includes miles and miles of open trails to enjoy.
