“Home for the Holidays”
For the fifth consecutive year, the South Walton Fire District (SWFD) is offering a "Home for the Holidays" program. SWFD will be providing free round-trip transportation to local residents in skilled and adult living facilities so that they can spend Christmas with loved ones.
The "Home for the Holidays" program will provide transportation on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day only from the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. (on space available basis). Only trips originating in South Walton and ending in Walton County or within the Destin City Limits will be taken. There is still time to participate. All requests for Christmas Holiday transportation must be received by Monday December 22, 2014.
Please keep in mind that patients must be self-supporting while at the residence, and be left in the care of a responsible family member.
