Each performance is based on improv ensuring every Shakedown show is never the same. The band is influenced by big time jam bands such as: Widespread Panic, Phish and also Funk like Parliament Funkadelic and The Funky Meters from New Orleans.

John Hart | March 13th
Florida based artist John Hart is an acclaimed guitar player all along the eastern states and gulf coast. Leading up to his creation of John Hart Project he spent a few years touring the east coast with the prominent Sauce Boss. The warm, rich tones of John’s classical guitar playing approach brings an exciting and fresh presence to his live show while his unique weaving of finger picking and blues influence brings a flavor to the sound like no other

Sugarcane Jane | March 20th
Sugarcane Jane, the Alabama Gulf Coast-based husband and wife duo has amassed an extremely loyal following. Anthony and Savana Lee Crawford purvey what they proudly call “Organic Music at its Finest.” Rich, homegrown, and natural, their brand of Americana draws from a deep well of roots influences, interwoven with inflections of gospel, country, jazz, and rock. Listeners can expect mostly acoustic sounds, and some of the freshest-sounding vocal harmonies they will ever hear

The Owsley Brothers | March 27th
Hailing from the Gulf Coast of Florida, The Owsley Brothers are garage-blues from the dark side. A complex, genre-bending puzzle that is immediately listenable. With their latest album, TOB, the band is now a quintet complete with keyboards, providing a landscape of psychedelic noises to their blown out, oscillating, fuzz stomping sound. Dance to it, experience it, analyze it, or just listen to this new self titled album, TOB. A “Diamond In the Raw”, indeed...

The Bay also hosts a fun mid week tradition locals love on Wednesday nights with live music and a bonfire on the beach. Each season brings celebration and special events with music to the waterfront restaurant located at the foot of the 331 bridge in SoWal. Some excellent shows coming up for the weekly bonfire/music night and now Sunday afternoons by the bay. Come out for cocktails at the bar or enjoy dinner and local live music too.

The Bay is an award-winning, yet casual waterfront restaurant and bar created by Chef Jim Shirley with a reputation for serving some of the best grub in South Walton. But the hot spot’s namesake is what brought us there in the first place - the majestic Choctawhatchee (chock-tuh-hatch-ee) Bay of South Walton. It’s time to get back to basics and soak up what The Bay does best: beach, beer and buddies.

Open daily for lunch and dinner! More information, photos and stories at SoWal Dining Guide | The Bay. Follow The Bay on Facebook for updates on specials and events. See the food + drink menus at baysouthwalton.com.
