The new Sculpt Studio opening the first weekend of November will fill a local need for entrepreneurs, creatives, and fitness fanatics alike by providing a space to safely convene, grow stronger and pursue their passions.

Centrally located in Seagrove, the space will be one-part Fitness Studio and one-part Creative Studio. The Fitness Studio will host Yoga Sculpt classes throughout the week and the Creative Studio will offer regular workshops and a space to rent for classes, co-working and content creation, available for hourly, half or full-day reservations.

“With an influx of people moving to the beach and working remotely due to COVID, we saw a need for a central place to work outside of one’s crowded home and build community with like-minded individuals in a time when it’s harder than ever to feel connected,” Co-Owner and Creative Director Bentley Jackson said. “There’s so much opportunity for how locals can use this space - whether that’s taking a fun workout class, teaching a workshop, hosting a meeting – or all of the above!”

Sculpt Studio will open on November 6, with free classes in the Fitness Studio running through Grand Opening weekend (November 6-7). The freshly renovated, modern space is located at 5365 East Co Hwy 30A, Suite 104. Class packages, rental rates and membership information can be found here. Mike “MJ” Jackson (of MJ Yoga Sculpt) and his wife Bentley have already been making waves in the area and saw this as an opportunity to bring both their passions to the community. 30A is home to a variety of good fitness studios and workout facilities, but Sculpt Studio will be the first of its kind on 30A offering both physical fitness and creativity.

MJ’s Yoga Sculpt class is where “muscle meets yoga”. It’s a bootcamp vibe with upbeat music and light weights, but the movements are rooted in yoga. Students enjoy receiving the full-spectrum of benefits from balance and flexibility to cardio and strength. The 30A community has responded well to this modern format of yoga, stating the need for a HIIT studio on 30A.

With over 3000 hours of instruction, certification and training, MJ is an experienced and knowledgeable yogi. MJ taught fitness for more than a decade in Dallas before moving to 30A in 2019. He and Bentley were married on the beach this February and the newlyweds suddenly found themselves quarantined with no outlet for their work.

MJ and Bentley began filming Yoga Sculpt classes online and found an outdoor venue to hold classes. Their first public outdoor classes were on the dock of Eastern Lake at Beachy Bean Coffee. Due to demand, the classes quickly expanded to The Hub and Seaside. All of the classes have regularly sold out. With the weather getting cooler and a dedicated student base, Bentley and MJ saw the need for a well-balanced and safe fitness experience indoors.

With Bentley’s background in graphic design, hand-lettering and marketing, she recognized the need for a creative space to hold workshops and collaborate with other creative entrepreneurs. Whether individuals are looking for a convenient remote workspace or meeting room, an inspiring place to teach and share their skill, or an open studio for content creation, Bentley envisions the Creative Studio to be that place for creatives and entrepreneurs to stretch their minds and mindsets.
