My daddy was one of leaders in bringing pro football to Atlanta. I remember going to the pro exhibition games that he and a group of his friends organized financially and time-wise at Grady Stadium near Piedmont Park. He and his friends pushed for a franchise in Atlanta. It was great as a little kid sitting in the best seat, and meeting the players. Finally we got the Falcons. We had season tickets to the Falcons games and went to every home game.
Then when they were so failboat, I lost interest. Frankly, I got to the point that I had no interest in pro football.
Thinsg have changed. Thanks to Tim Tebow, we have watched Broncos games all season. We also watch the Falcons again.
Hubby just called me about the 316 passing yards that Tebow made this weekend. The sports talking heads have been talking about it. 316, as in John 3:16.
Sorry the Falcons lost, but GO BRONCOS!
