As of June 1, 2005, permits will be issued by tax collector, rather than clerk of courts.

Disabled persons are exempt from the fee, upon submission of documentation of their disability.

Permit renewals will begin on May 23, 2005 and new permits are available for issue beginning June 1, 2005 of each year at both Walton County Tax Collector locations.

All permits expire on June 1, regardless of the purchase date.

If you already have a permit, can you renew via phone or internet?

They haven't set up the internet renewal yet. It is supposed to be under construction. Call them or e-mail them on Monday and ask about renewal by mail. You may be able to do that if you send a copy of your old paper permit.
