Re: photos Seaside Aug 25 2005

Pretty day at the beach! Was the sand trucked in? Is that a crater I see on the pic near the dune line?

I haven't heard of them trucking in but those piles are big. That may be a couple of scrapings. They are getting some dune erosion from the rain.

I am pretty certain that those piles are from three scrapings.

Beautiful pictures, as always. The water is truly beyond description. Thanks!!!

By the way, the day is beautiful here in Tampa, cool breezes and lots of sunshine. One would never guess there was a terrific storm brewing just west of us.

I'm still hoping that Katrina changes course. Our family house has been lucky so far, but that can only last so long. Glad that most of the debris has been collected, but has is actually been removed? That could be a huge problem.

Yes, suprisingly, the County has been very busy cleaning up all of the debris. Fortunately, very few people have built more walkovers that will soon become trash heeps next week.

Scrapings by the county only. No sand has been trucked in. Fortunately, Seaside has not rebuilt any walkovers.
