Diabetes Self Management Class
Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 7 and 8 from 12 to 4:30 p.m.
Class will take place in the Resource Center Suite 1 education building at Sacred Heart.
Instructors:
Jenny Stuckey - Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Educator
Anne Townley - Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator
Class is open to adults with diabetes who are looking for ways to manage their disease. Key topics include exercise, medication, and nutrition for patients to reduce the symptoms of diabetes. Pre-registration is required and a physician referral is needed to attend the class. Most major insurances are accepted.

Joint Replacement Classes
Monday August 5 and Monday August 19 at 1 p.m.
Class will take place in the hospital’s Resource Center Suite 3 conference room.
Instructor:
Linda Ledford - Registered Nurse and Joint Replacement Coordinator
Class will focus on what to expect before, during and after surgery. Patients will receive a comprehensive joint replacement guide that includes exercise schedules, information on physical therapy and what to expect after returning home. It is highly recommended for people thinking about joint replacement to visit an orthopedic surgeon prior to attending the class.
