The Seaside Institute and the Future Symphony Institute present
BUILDING COMMUNITIES with MUSIC​

Join the senior fellows of the Future Symphony Institute - philosopher Sir Roger Scruton, architectural theorist Léon Krier, and orchestral musician Andrew Balio in company, conversation, and concert.

In lecture, panel discussions, and evening receptions, the fellows and participants will discuss and debate:

Can a community thrive without music?
Does a thriving music scene make people want to live in a community?
How does music and music study enhance the lives of our children?
Does building cultural centers work against their stated goals?
Should we invest in more music in our communities?
Should placemakers support music in their work?
How does music repair broken communities?
