Adventures in Alys / Improv Hour
Join The REP Theatre Mondays and Wednesdays for a free, completely original storytelling experience for children of all ages. Watch as the REP actors curate a new, one-of-a-kind Adventure in Alys, created by the audience (and maybe even join in the stories yourselves)! Free for all ages!
On Thursdays, Awkward Oxen Improv Hour at 10am is a free, fun, interactive, and fast-paced comedy show that’s fun for groups of all ages. Join The REP’s improv troupe, The Awkward Oxen, as they play improv games, and make up scenes and songs on the spot based on audience suggestions. Don’t worry, if you suffer from a bit of stage fright you’re free to hang out and watch and get some laughs.
Adventures in Alys and Improv Hour begins at 10am in the Alys Beach Amphitheater next to the splash pad fountain. This is a complimentary event proudly presented by The Alys Foundation.
Stories by the Sea
Join The REP actors as they present a free, one-of-a-kind storytelling experience for children of all ages. Each day The REP will offer a new story based on participation and suggestions from the audience! On Thursdays, The REP Improv Army joins to perform and show off their new skills.
Stories by the Sea begins at 4pm at the top of the Seaside Amphitheater, next to the tree-lined path, and across the street from Great Southern. Free, non-ticketed event thanks to sponsor, The Seaside Merchants.
Alice in Wonderland
Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s novel, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, tells the story of Alice, a young, curious girl who falls down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland. There, she encounters some of the strangest and most peculiar creatures, including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts. Join Alice and The REP actors as they make their way through this fantasy world where the unexpected is to always be expected. Proudly presented by the Seaside Merchants. Complimentary for all ages.
Alice in Wonderland takes place Mondays at 6:30pm in the Seaside Amphitheater.
PARKING & SHUTTLE INFO:
Visitors and employees alike can park their vehicles at a public parking lot and ride a free shuttle delivering passengers directly to Seaside. The locals call the parking area Grayton Central. You will easily spot the public parking area directly across the road from Hurricane Oyster Bar on 283 South.
Catching the shuttle will allow you to take in the stunning views of Western Lake, a rare coastal dune lake directly on your path to Seaside.
Shuttles run from 5 a.m. to midnight, every day through September 3, 2019. The shuttles drop off and pick up about every 15 minutes.
Improv Bootcamp for Kids!
The REP, not only performs and shares stories, butt also shares the craft of storytelling and theatre arts with local and visiting students. This Summer, The REP continues their popular children’s Improv Bootcamp sessions. Through these sessions, students learn all the basics of improv by focusing on teamwork, creativity, and thinking outside the box. Students as a young as 5 get to be onstage, learning and performing for their friends and family with The REP’s talented actor/teachers.
On Thursday of each week, you will see firsthand how much your child has grown and embraced their creativity through Improv Army performance where they will show off their incredible new skills.
Improv Bootcamp for Kids takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm in the Seaside Repertory Theatre, located in Quincy Circle.
Jack and the Beanstalk
A favorite fairy tale brought to life by The REP Theatre! Join Jack as he trades the family cow for a handful of magic beans, which grow into an enormous beanstalk reaching up to the clouds. Jack climbs the beanstalk and finds himself in the castle of an unfriendly giant. A classic fairy tale that will leave you chanting "Fee-fi-fo-fum!" A complimentary event for all ages. Proudly presented by the Merchants of Rosemary.
Jack and the Beanstalk takes place Wednesdays at 6:30pm in North Barrett Square at Rosemary Beach.

Celebrating its 18th season, The Repertory Theatre is Northwest Florida’s premier professional theatre company. The REP has built itself into a first-rate regional theatre, attracting some of the finest talent from around the country. The REP’s host of talented theatre professionals and group of dedicated volunteers work together to entertain more than 30,000 people each year. Having established an indoor home on the stage of the 75-seat Meeting Hall Theatre in downtown Seaside, Florida, The REP has never stopped broadening its horizons, adding new programming and new venues in Seaside and beyond to better reach its expanding audience base. For five years, The REP has provided a successful drama mentoring programs to area elementary and middle schools that introduces and teaches students all aspects of theatre including lights, sound, costumes, sets and stage management.
