Nearly 4,000 race participants turned out for the South Walton race held in March of this year to benefit Seaside Neighborhood School. More than $530,000 was raised during the 2019 Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K and Taste of the Race, said Teresa Horton, executive director of the Seaside School Foundation.

There are many great ways to get involved and help support the annual Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K: volunteers, silent auction, and sponsorships.

Are you interested in becoming a valued sponsor of the race?

Your support means a great deal to the children of the Seaside Neighborhood School, Seacoast Collegiate High School and our community.

The Seaside School Foundation wants to offer your business the opportunity to become a sponsor in our biggest event of the year – the Annual Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K Run. Heralded as the largest outdoor sporting event in the area and one of the top-ranked road races in the Southeast United States, we expect more than 4,000 runners to participate in the race this year. In total, our race attracts about 10,000 people to the area during race weekend. Our marketing efforts reach coast to coast, and our website is seen by thousands of visitors. Stay tuned for 2020 Race Weekend sponsorship opportunities!!

Whether you are a serious distance racer or a casual weekend runner, come join the fun and run in the 18th Annual Seaside School Half Marathon & 5K. If you’ve ever seen the Jim Carrey film, The Truman Show, then you have an idea of the kind of beautiful coastal architecture that you’ll find along the route at the annual race. The course takes runners on a long, straightaway-style out-and-back course along Highway 30A through several beach towns that stretch along Florida’s Gulf coast.

Every year, the gap between The Seaside School standard of excellence and the funding provided by the state seems to grow more and more. There are either funding cuts or we simply want more for the students. In any case, the shortfall is significant each year. Whether you’re a runner, sponsor, or enjoying the Taste of the Race, please know that your support is needed and appreciated. Your participation reduces class size. Your participation provides middle school and high school students the opportunity to participate in elective classes for gardening, music, art, an award winning robotics program, advanced placement classes as well as career-readiness industry certification courses. Great things are happening at the Seaside School… thanks to you!
