After 11 years, we've packed the moving van and driven off into the sunset. Literally. It's been a lot of fun (or as the SoWal forum oldtimers useta say, "funn").
In no particular order, I'll miss:
-My home beach near Eastern Lake
-The daily air show, courtesy of Eglin and Tyndall
-Sanderlins and willets at the beach
-Winter sunsets
-Music at the Seaside ampitheatre and performances at the Rep
-Sundog
-Central Square Records
-Grouper sandwiches, grilled from the Seagrove Market and fried from Modica
-The friendly and helpful people at the Watercolor Publix
-The tree frogs, anoles, and salamanders that hang out at my (former) house
-Dark and quiet nights
-Good times at the long gone but fondly remembered Medusa Rouge
-Seeing the eagles in the winter (small "e")
-Escape to Create
-Chocolate milk from Ocheessee Creamery and eggs from Twin Oaks Farm
Best of luck to you all. Hope you dodge the storms, survive spring break and Memorial Day, avoid the traffic in Destin, and get at least a passing fair shake from the BCC.
