Alaqua Animal Refuge Pet of the Week “Sophie Girl” - she's beautiful!
When Sophie Girl first arrived at Alaqua, she was shy and unsure of her new surroundings. Soon she regained her confidence and now loves everyone she meets! She is a 4 year old Black Lab and weighs about 67 lbs. Currently, she is in The Unconditional Love Program where she is learning basic commands and social skills. She is scheduled to graduate July 19th with flying colors. As she approaches her 100th day without a family, our hope for her is that she will leave the program and go straight into a new home. She becomes incredibly connected with her humans and is always eager to please. If you give her a chance, her stubby tail will wag its way right into your heart.
