Join The Hub and Special Olympics Florida - Walton County athletes at the opening ceremony viewing party of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, July 25 from 7-10 pm. The event kicks off with happy hour from 4-6 pm and live music by Reid Soria with Autism Sings from 5-7pm. At 7pm, kids' games begin with a hula hoop contest, entertainment and giveaways. Live coverage from Los Angeles will be broadcast by ESPN on the 25-foot jumbotron screen at The Hub. Coverage begins at 8 pm CST. A portion of the proceeds benefit Special Olympics Florida - Walton County. Special Olympics Florida of Walton County provides year round sports training and competition for children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their programs open a gateway for athletes to achieve empowerment and acceptance by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
